Going to Nashville for the weekend......

It's way too freaking early.

I did not finish the blanket for my sister.

I am, however, bringing the fair isle tulip gingham socks for her to work on while I'm on the plane. Wish me lots of luck! (knitting fair isle terrifies me... so many colors switching and repeating and patterns and argh!)

Today was fun :o)

Before rehearsal, Deb and I met at one of the Shack kids' house to get lemonade from Juniper, because she loves having a lemonade stand to give free lemonade to people because lemonade makes people happy. It was adorable.

Before we left, she had to show me how she climbs on her dad's car.. and her younger sister was sitting in the driver's seat 'cause she likes power. She was sitting there clutching her bread going "Raaara!! Raaara!!" waving her fists around (note.. she was shirtless and covered in marker, 'cause Juniper wanted to paint her). Her dad was like "She knows your name!" It was kinda funny... and before we left, she got into the sugar and got it allllllllllll over her face.

A good day.

Now I need to knit. Baby blanket... halfway there. I have until Friday and I'm going to run out of yarn. Now how many stores in the metro DC area do you think carry the exact color of a 60% cotton 40% linen blend DK weight yarn?
I have severe knitting aggravation. I'm assuming the fact that I have to finish a set of leggings (of which, only one is done) and a baby blanket by the end of this week is the culprit. Now, ideally, I would have the next 200 rows of 104 stitches each finished by the time I get on the plane Friday morning.. and then the leggings by the time I get to rehearsal Monday. ARGH... then I have to knit and felt 20 bumblebee finger puppets by the 12th.

I'm a little stressed out. *L*

It's FINALLY warm here... so Friday (at 10) Becca and I went down to the monuments and ate snow cones at the foot of the Washington Monument before we got fed up with the tourists and went to Cosi by the White House for lunch.. and then on the metro back to CP, Guy called wanting to go to DC, but we talked him into going to the lake with the frisbee.. and then Andrew showed up.. so we stayed at the lake until 5, when we went for dinner. Lots of sunshine. Lots of sunburnt Sara.

Saaaturday we saw Just Sex and Nothing Else... a Hungarian film at Filmfest DC. It was hysterical...

Today was FREEZING! When I woke up there was snow on the ground and it was flurrying when I was coming back from the Shack around 11:30.

BUT... that did not stop us from going to the UMD mall at 2 to watch the filming for National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Despite nearly frostbitten fingers, we saw Nicolas Cage, Helen Mirren, Jon Voight, and Justin Bartha act on the paths near our long fountain.. and I got a ton of random close ups of Jon Voight (who was wandering around running lines with himself while occasionally consulting his paper) and Nicolas Cage (with his hand dangerously close to his nose in a comprised position and having his coat put on by an assistant).

Then we came home FROZEN and watched Spellbound.. and the end of Mean Girls.

Lovely day!

Tuesday I was mildly sunburned from going to the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Today it snowed.

Anyone else confused?

I thought so..
